Job Description:

Position Overview

Siemens Industry is looking for a Sales Excellence Business - Process candidate for their Alpharetta, Georgia location. This person will report to the Sr. Director, Sales Excellence, this position is responsible for managing sales process improvement programs led by the Sales Excellence organization and lead process activities for the Construction Sales team. Oversees program activities, providing escalation when needed, in collaboration with both Sales Excellence team members as well as Construction Sales, EM Business Units and other stakeholders as related to initiatives. Drives efficiency and effectiveness of sales excellence programs by ensuring program deliverables meet or exceed internal customer requirements, are completed at a highly professional level and within agreed timelines. Serves as an in-group consultant to research opportunity for sales efficiency areas for improvement and collaborates to develop good practice solutions for implementation.


-Leads the Philos activities for the Construction sales teams, initially the re-launch and then supports activities and reporting requirements of the Construction Management team. Keep abreast of developments in potential changes to CRM ( replacing Philos) and participate in the steering committee looking at new options.

  • Leads the activities to establish and maintain a consolidated EM Sales Pipeline reporting with data from Philos and SFDC. Analyzes data collected in the CRM tools for input to business plans. Develop KPI’s for enhanced quality and utilization.

  • Supports the Construction Sales management team in setting up and maintaining a sales planning process in Philos and other sales related process improvements.

  • In alignment with IT and the Construction Sales Management, lead the activities to rollout Mobile Technology to the Construction Sales team. Take active role in learning about new sales tools and value to the organization.

- Align with the Industrial Sales Excellence team to adopt best practices in Philos sales processes, training and technology to provide increased productivity and target achievement. Assume the lead role to coordinate with Global headquarters on the initiatives of the People Excellenc program.

  • Responsible for the communication plan for updates across the business related to Sales Excellence programs.

  • Assume phase II responsibility to lead sales training , the Sales Development Program management, and Project lead for future Power Universities.

  • Supports the Sr. Director, Sales Excellence in updates to executive leadership as required including providing input and recommendations for the messaging and packaging of presentations.

  • Leads coordination efforts, in collaboration with the Sr. Director, Sales Excellence, for input into the Philos US Steering team and the SFDC Governance team.

  • Recommends and implements business process changes and system solutions based on application of process improvement methodology, best practices and inputs from global and regional stakeholders.

  • Collects and analyzes data, cross divisions, and provides updates to key stakeholders as required by initiatives.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

1.Knows/understands the core processes of sales and business development.

  1. Proven competence and experience in developing strategies for business process improvements.

  2. Has knowledge about the portfolio of the relevant Divisions/Business Units; a general understanding of the overall Siemens portfolio and organization.

  3. Knowledge of CRM and sales force effectiveness metrics.

  4. Demonstrated ability for professional presentation development.

  5. Demonstrated ability to develop a program from recommendation through implementation.

  6. Requires strong capabilities in the areas of business results orientation; customer orientation, process improvement methodology (i.e. six Sigma) and collaboration & influencing.

  7. Bachelors Degree.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  1. Minimum of BS degree plus 5 years related experience.

2.Minimum 2 years of experience in either sales or sales force improvement techniques.

3.Minimum 2 years of experience in leading/ownership of business programs.
